  1. Citizen Police Academy

    The Citizen Police Academy is a 10-week program designed to help Cottonwood and Verde Valley residents increase their understanding of how the Police Department works within the community.

  2. COP Volunteers

    The mission statement of our Citizen on Patrol (COP) program is to enhance the individual and collective safety and general welfare of all people of the City of Cottonwood by assisting the Cottonwood Police Department in deterring crime in Cottonwood. The primary method used to deter crime will be to provide high visibility patrol within the City.

  3. Cottonwood Public Safety Communications Center

    The Cottonwood Public Safety Communications Center (CPSCC) is a state-of-the-art facility which serves as a regional dispatching center.

  4. Criminal Investigations Division

    This unit investigates major crimes, as well as those requiring resources not available within the patrol division. Criminal Investigators utilize advanced tools and training in order to prevent and solve crime for residents and businesses in Cottonwood.

  5. Mobile Command Unit

    Cottonwood Police Department's Mobile Command Unit was purchased and outfitted in 2009 through grants awarded to the department.

  6. Records

    The Police Records Section serves as the central repository for incident, arrest and traffic records prepared by department personnel.

  7. Ordinance Enforcement / Animal Control

    Ordinance Enforcement Officers respond to calls for service regarding City of Cottonwood zoning and code violations as well as enforcement of City of Cottonwood animal control regulations and ordinances.

  8. Victim Assistance

    The Victim Assistance unit provides victims of crime with a road map through the criminal justice and court processes and also helps re-stabilize victims of crime.
