JUDICIAL REVIEW AND APPOINTMENT ADVISORY BOARD

The City of Cottonwood is seeking volunteers to fill two seats on its seven-member Judicial Review and Appointment Advisory Board. Members will be appointed by the City Council. Both seats will be filling terms that are expiring, and will be for three years each.

The purpose of the Board is to recommend to the City Council the best qualified persons to become full-time or part-time city magistrates, to evaluate the performance of incumbent city magistrate(s), and to advise the City Council about retaining them for office.

One board member shall be an active member of the Arizona State Bar association who resides and/or practices in Yavapai County. The other member shall be from the general public, must reside in the City of Cottonwood, and have distinguished him/herself through public service, impartiality and objectivity.

Applications may be obtained from the Human Resources (HR) office at 816 N. Main Street, OR from the City website. Applications must be returned to the HR office no later than 3:00 PM, December 30, 2011
