Construction along Main Street Continues to SR89A!
COTTONWOOD, AZ – The City of Cottonwood, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and their contractor continue working on the Main Street Improvements Project. This project includes reconstructing select sections of concrete curb, gutter and driveway entrances before removing and replacing the existing asphalt pavement along Main Street, between the 10th Street Roundabout and SR89A/Cottonwood Street. Crews continue working on concrete reconstruction and will begin work between Mingus Avenue and SR89A/Cottonwood Street throughout the coming weeks.
Work will occur Monday through Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. During construction hours, crews will leave one lane open to travel in each direction, however, delays and temporary closures will be necessary. Access to properties will be maintained except for short durations when work is taking place directly in front of a driveway. Access will be coordinated on an individual basis as we move throughout the project. Residents, businesses and motorists can expect lane closures and extensive traffic control measures throughout construction. Please follow the marked signage to get to your destination.
