Asphalt Paving to Begin Along a Section of Main Street

COTTONWOOD, AZ – Asphalt paving operations are set to begin along a section of Main Street, from the 10th Street roundabout to Mingus Avenue. This work will take place from November 6 to November 23. Preparation work will occur on Thursday, November 6 during daytime hours. All paving activities are scheduled to occur during nighttime hours; however, traffic control will remain in place during the daytime. Business access will remain open during daytime hours.

During this work, you can expect:

• Work to occur seven days a week during nighttime hours (weather permitting)

• Southbound travel along Main Street will be closed during nighttime hours. A detour route along 10th Street will be in place.

• One lane of traffic in each direction during daytime hours

• Traffic control devices and cones in place at all times

• Temporary access restrictions to

businesses and side streets during nighttime hours

• Rough road conditions

• Vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle detour routes

• Flagging operations

• Loud noise

• Construction equipment in the roadway

• Travel delays
