IT Maintenance Notification
What:
City of Cottonwood Information Technology Department will be migrating to a new phone system. Phone functions will remain the same, all city extension numbers are also the same except for PD.
Why:
The city currently maintains two phone systems which incurs higher maintenance costs and support resources. IT plans to consolidate these phone systems under one platform and allow all departments to be able to call internally with 4-digit extensions citywide. This also allows us a higher degree of control and supportability while at the same time reducing costs overall to maintain the city’s communication needs.
When:
Migration activities will begin on Wednesday, September 5th at 9:30 AM
Impact:
Phone systems will be unavailable from 9:30AM until noon. 911 Dispatch will still receive calls normally and will not be impacted.
