Cottonwood Area Transit / Verde Lynx Suspension of Service
COTTONWOOD, AZ – Cottonwood Area Transit (CAT) and Verde LYNX have closed the LYNX route for the day. Snow conditions in Sedona have made this necessary. We are currently planning for all routes to be operational tomorrow, January 27, although LYNX they may start late if the conditions warrant it. This is an advisory to our customers in the event the winter storm makes the roads too dangerous for our buses to travel.
The CAT staff will be monitoring the weather and will provide updates via our Web Site, our Facebook Page, and our mobile app – RouteShout 2.0. We will endeavor to provide as much notice as we can to those ADA riders that have trips schedule for tomorrow and may not have access to the Internet, Phone Service, or are physically unable to read printed materials. Weather can change quickly and we may not be able to provide as timely notifications as we would like.
Please watch the weather reports and the skies and be safe out there! CAT/LYNX offices may be contacted at 928-634-2287.
CAT provides ADA Paratransit service and four fixed routes serving Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Verde Villages, as well as Verde Lynx commuter service to Sedona.
