Cottonwood Public Library Wins Two Statewide Awards

COTTONWOOD, AZ – The Cottonwood Public Library has received two major honors from the Arizona Library Association, recognizing both innovation and exceptional service to the community.

The library’s Tech Help Program, staffed primarily by part-time Library Aides, earned the Innovation in Technology Award for its daily one-on-one support that helps patrons overcome digital barriers, gain confidence with their devices, and stay connected.

The Outstanding Service in Public Libraries Award was presented to Youth Services Supervisor Danielle Ave, highlighting the extraordinary work of the Youth Services Team in creating inclusive, high-impact programs for children and families across the Verde Valley.

“These awards highlight the power of teamwork,” said Library Manager Jamie Shea. “Our staff are deeply committed to inclusion, learning, and connection. Every day, they show how a public library can truly transform lives.”
