Marie grew up in the Tucson area and started her public safety career as an EMT in 1996 in Pima County. This eventually led her to public safety communications in Fire/EMS in the Tucson area. Marie started her career with the Cottonwood Police Department in 2002 as a Communications Specialist. She was promoted to supervisor in 2004 and Manager in 2014. Marie serves as the agency's PSAP Manager, Systems Security Officer, AMBER Program Coordinator, and Communications Training program coordinator, and participates on the CISM team. Marie represents Cottonwood PD as an advisory board member for the Trauma Intervention Program and the Yavapai Region 911 Committee. She is a member of the APCO and NENA organizations. Marie attended the Verde Valley Leadership program in 2009 and is currently working to complete the Business Management degree program at the University of Phoenix.
